What Technology I have learned
In Instructional Technology Program, each course is required to use a technology skill to complete a final project. Although my background is not exactly regarding education, I have challenged myself to develop the technologies which I had never used in educational field. For example, video producing skill, graphic editing skill, and website developing skill. Actually the three skills are used commonly in people's lives, but the emphasizes are how the the technology skills be utilized in appropriate and effective ways.
Video Producing Skill
Video has become a mainstream of instructional technology in this generation. Instead of using text and image, video is able to provide visual and auditory impacts on learning at the same time. That's the reason I challenged myself to learn a screen capture software, "Movavi" and "Camtasia", to create a training video for engineers and an instructional video for Chinese students to memorize English words.

Graphic Editing Skill
Graphic in instructional technology field is regarding not only the design of images but also the purpose of images, which means the coherent pictures can assist readers to understand the content clearer. Photoshop is a popular and advance editing software for images, and it helped me to design my e-flyer in ETEC 544. However, I have discovered that PowerPoint is also a convenience graphic editing software if the image doesn't need a high level editing skill, so I decided to use PowerPoint to redesign the e-flyer in ETEC 544.

Website Developing Skill
Website has been utilized and developed in various areas in recent years. In instructional technology field, website provides a showcase for instructors to present their instructional materials. The basic skill of developing a website is using HTML, which is to completely create a website by numerous code, and I used it to build my first website. Nevertheless, HTML cost too much time on coding and money on web host, so I decided to use Weebly, which provided multiple convenient functions and website templates, to complete my design project.
